During our February 25 Early Release we will focus on both technology and literacy 1 hourfor each:

TECHNOLOGY 2 SECTIONS

Social Media and Facebook in the Classroom. Did you know that Facebookcould be used in the educational setting?

Kevin Gasner will focus on 3 aspects of Facebook:Lab 173a. Creating Fan Sitesb. Creating Eventsc. Direct Messaging.

Using Google Docs in the Classroom: Lab 168 Google Docs is a powerful tool for both staff and students Learn how to share and collaborate on documents with your

colleagues You will learn how your students can work on group projects

and you (the teacher) can comment or grade them online!

School-wide read of Three Cups of Tea planning session. The literacy teamwill present the project and plan that will begin on the Tuesday followingspring break. There will be time to plan some curricular lessons, discussimplementation, and all staff will receive personal copies of the book.

Staff Divisions:

Please travel with your grade level for the afternoon. Seventh grade starts with Literacy andthen will attend the Technology session. Eighth grade will start with the Technology sessionand then attend the Literacy session. Encore staff: Travel with the team you're attachedto.OR travel together with a particular grade level of your choice.
