Dear Friends of the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance,

Welcome to the exciting Aston Martin San Diego VIP Reception for the 11th

Annual La Jolla Concours d’Elegance. The Saturday evening reception is

one of our premiere events with over 750 guests. At the heart of the event

is our Live and Silent Auction. Last year was a huge success and raised

much needed funds for the charities involved. Most of the auction items

are donated by local merchants and Concours participants wanting to give

back to and further these important causes. We want to encourage your

participation and active bidding on these amazing auction items.

Not only is your support pivotal to the success of the La Jolla Concours

d’Elegance, but it also helps bring awareness to the beneficiaries of this

event, the La Jolla Historical Society and the Monarch School Project. The

funds raised from this event are crucial for the La Jolla Historical Society

to continue the discovery, collection, and preservation of La Jolla’s herit-

age, and will assist the Monarch School Project’s commitment to educating

students affected by homelessness.

La Jolla Concours d’Elegance

Founded in 1963, the La Jolla Historical Society is a champion for

La Jolla’s heritage by discovering, collecting and preserving the

community’s historical documentation, artifacts, sites and struc-

tures. The Society is committed to increasing the community’s

awarenesss and appreciation of its heritage by providing access to

and interpretation of its collection for the public, and presenting

education programs for all ages.

BENEFICIARIES

This unique public school serves students in grades K-12 who have been

impacted by homelessness, providing them with an accredited education

and an after school program, as well as basic necessities such as medi-

cal and dental care, food and clothing, hygiene kits, transportation, and

family assistance. Currently there are more than 15,870 homeless

students in our county, according to San Diego County School Districts.

Monarch students live in shelters, motels, single room occupancy hous-

ing, double- or tripled-up with other familes in small apartments, in

campsites, cars, or on the streets.

Michael’s primary goal is composed of dominantly two things: “To always give back to those who are in need and to inspire, motivate and help individuals achieve their dreams”. For those who know Michael, his work and collective vision, the consensus is, “There has never been anything like it”.

Through Michael’s vision and intention he has truly set himself apart from the typi-cal standard and stereotype of what an artist is. His out of the box thinking and desire to be part of something much bigger has paved his way and established him as a world renowned artist.
