Nell’ora settimanale di conversazione con la Lettrice, gli studenti si sono esercitati nella produzione orale affrontando

argomenti di vario genere (v. registro elettronico per programma dettagliato).

Gli studenti hanno affrontato la lettura dei seguenti testi (aforismi e racconti):

- Instructions for Life (Tantra Totems – aphorisms on life, attitude and relationships)

- James Thurber, The Unicorn in the Garden

- Oscar Wilde, The Selfish Giant

- Roald Dahl, The Umbrella Man

La classe ha lavorato, suddivisa in gruppi, alla creazione di un miniplay tratto dal racconto The Umbrella Man di Roald

Dahl. Le mini commedie sono state rappresentate in classe. Le prove hanno offerto l’occasione di chiarire aspetti

essenziali di pronuncia e intonazione.

LETTERATURA:

Come introduzione allo studio della letteratura è stato presentato, analizzato e commentato un racconto di Angela

Carter del 1979 al fine di suscitare interesse verso problematiche contemporanee (condizione femminile, negazione di

diritti civili e umani), ma anche per facilitare un primo approccio all’analisi del testo a partire da un linguaggio meno

‘lontano’ e più immediatamente apprezzabile di quello della poesia trecentesca.

Come introduzione allo studio della letteratura è stato presentato, analizzato e commentato un brano scelto dalla

tragicommedia Waiting for Godot (Teatro dell’Assurdo), al fine di suscitare interesse verso tematiche quali il tempo,

l’attesa, l’amicizia, ma anche per facilitare un primo approccio all’analisi del testo che partisse da un linguaggio meno

‘lontano’ e più immediatamente apprezzabile di quello della poesia trecentesca.
