indisputable potential for t he Socit Gnrale Group both on a business

development and on a resources/talent pool standpoint.

The high economic growth rate in India is expected to be sustained overtime on account of several factors: Growth in per

capita income, Inc rease in personal disposable income, Higher consumption and private investment demand, Accelerat ion

of physical and social Infrast ructure development, Gradual reforms, the growing importance of an Indian middle class

which is key target of our business model, and last but not least a growing pool of educated and talented manpower.

Indias sus tained economy, supported by favourable macroeconomic factors has resulted in a boom in the Indian financial

services industry with an increase in credit demand and in the overall investment basket.

On the back of such potential, our Group, which has been present in India since 1978, has recently increased its Indian

ambitions and accelerated its growth with the development of seven new business activities over the past 3-4 years to

reach a total of eleven different activities.

Our ambition is to build a universal bank pr esence and Socit Gnrale will continue to closely monitor local regulatory

The banks businesses in India are: I nternat ional Retail Banking, Socit Gnrale Corporate and Inves tment Banking

(Including SG Asia Holdings), Asset Management joint ventur e with State Bank of I ndia (SBI), Private Banking, ALD

Automotive, Family Credit, L ife Insurance joint venture with Indiabulls, Securities Services joint v enture with SBI, Socit

Gnrale Global Solution Centr e and joint venture with Calyon named Newedge. The staff str ength in India has exceeded

2,000.

SBI Custodial Service s, the joint venture betwee n Soc it Gnrale Securities Service s (SGSS) and SBI

This entity is launching Custody and Fund Administration serv ices in India.

Life Insurance joint venture between Sogecap (The Group Life Insurance Subsidiary) and Indiabulls

This entity is at the start-up stage and is going through regulatory approval process (has applied for license).

It will be a part of the Insurance Business Line (Specialized Financial Services) in Socit Gnrale.

It will provide a broad range of life insurance product s:

- Unit Linked Life Insurance Plans (ULIP).

- Traditional endowment.

- Pension.

- Term Life.

- Credit Life.

It will be headquartered in Mumbai and will distr ibute its products t hrough 3 main distr ibution networks with national

reach:

- I ndiabulls Financial Services Limited.

- Tied insurance agents appointed by the company.

- Other corporate agents and brokers.
