1 Post-doctoral Position
Nucleic acid receptors and immunity in Drosophila: a post-doctoral position is
available to functionally characterize novel nucleic acids binding proteins in the
context of antiviral immunity in the model organism Drosophila melanogaster. The
candidate receptors have been identified by a proteomic analysis following affinity
purification with various nucleic acid baits. This tri-national project (France, Germany,
Austria) is funded by a European grant in the frame of the ERA-NET program. The
position to work with C. Meignin and J.-L. Imler is for a period of 14 months and is
available immediately (http://ibmc-ridi.cnrs.fr/en/research-groups/antiviral-immunity/).
The applicants must have expertise in molecular biology and drosophila genetics.
Previous experience in the field of virology and/or nucleic acid biology is not
absolutely required but will be an advantage. The selected applicant will join a
multinational team composed of fifteen people, hosted by the Institut de Biologie
Moléculaire et Cellulaire (CNRS) on the central campus of the University of
Strasbourg. Enquiries/applications should be made by e-mail in the form of a CV and
the names and addresses of two references to Aude Petri (a.petri@ibmc-
cnrs.unistra.fr).
