DOMAINE SAINT-HIPPOLYTE SAINT-MARTIN DE LA LIEUE
In March 2015, the management of Origenplus which runs the estate decided to refocus the site on agricultural activity and the cheese factory. Work to expand the cooperative will begin in April/May 2016. However, the site will stay open for group tours and to explore its:
- Historic heritage with its traditional Norman farm (16th century architectural complex),
- Natural heritage with its orchard with high stems and the River Touques - Agricultural heritage with the current farm (enhancing
the value of the Normande breed of dairy cows) and the cheese factory with its artisanal and farm production of 3 cheese (Pont l’Evêque AOP [Protected Designation of Origin], Livarot AOP and Pavé d’Auge).
Rate: 1€ over 20 people (guided tour + tasting of 3 cheese) / 300€ package for a group -20 people (guided tour + VIP tasting at the manor house).
The guided tour in FR and GB lasts: 1hr30/2 hrs. Tours available on weekday mornings until 11.30 am including watching cheese being made through a glass corridor. Afternoon tour without production. 'Life on the farm' film: 10 min. The on-site catering for a group of up to 50 people is always possible as part of a tour. Two set menus are available including the guided tour of the site: the Saint Martin at 29€ and the Saint-Hippolyte at 38€.
