EASTERN REGION OF INDIA 2013ABOUT THE CONFERENCEEnvironmental
governanceis a concept in politicalecology or environmental policy
related to defining theelements needed to achieve sustainability.
All humanactivities-political, social and economic- should be
understood and managed as subsets of theenvironment and
ecosystems. Global crisis issues shouldbe analyzed and mitigated in
the backdrop of localperspective. This Conference intends to
address variousdimensions of global crises focusing on the
maintenance,management and governance of the environment
includingprescriptive solutions and policy dimensions.
CONFERENCE PROGRAMThe conference will be held for three days
with parallelsessions on the listed themes. There will be
keynotesessions in the conference, and each technical session
willhave one invited lecture. Panel discussion on theconference
title will be held towards the end of theconference.
