1. PVA 18TH
ANNUAL DINNER 2011
We are pleased to inform you that PVAs 18th
Annual Dinner will be held on 6th
December 2011 atThe Grand Lagoon Ballroom, Level 15, Sunway
Resort Hotel & Spa, Petaling Jaya. Like previousyears, the
Proton Annual Vendors Awards Ceremony will be one of the highlights
in the annualdinner.
The cost of each table has been set at RM1,800 for PVA members
and RM2,300 for non-PVAmembers. There are now limited tables left
for sale. Interested buyer to email PVA [email protected]
booking.
For members who would like to sponsor or donate prizes and gifts
at the dinner, please contactPn Intan Safinasz of PVA
Secretariat.
2. NDA
8 vendors have been identified for not responding to the
NDA.
3. OUTSTANDING MANUAL DELIVERY ORDERS (DOs)
PVA has been informed that some vendors are still issuing manual
DOs instead of PRECISEbased DOs in their deliveries to Proton Tg
Malim (PTM), resulting in more than 1,400 unmatchedDOs. In this
regard, vendors are advised to ensure that the use of manual DOs
are minimised toavoid non-payment for parts delivered and stock
shrinkages.
In addition, vendors are advised to check with the
person-in-charge of PTM on the status of themanual DOs and take
appropriate actions to resolve the issue.
4. PVA TATTLER: NOVEMBER 2010 EDITIONMembers of PVA (including
their staff) are strongly encouraged to submit written articles
relatingto the automotive industry for consideration to be
published in the magazine. The final selectionof articles to be
published will however be conducted by the PVA Tattler Editorial
Board.
In order to defray the production costs for this edition, we
hope that vendors can also support thepublication through one
full-page colour advertisements at the cost of RM800 (PVA
members);RM1,200 (non-PVA members)

5. DEVELOPMENT OF NEW PVA WEBSITE
We are in the process of developing PVAs website under the
domain name ofwww.protonvendors.comto be launched at PVA 2011
Annual Dinner. We would like to seek thecooperation of PVA members
to provide the latest updates on their companies as requested byPVA
Secretariat.
For PVA website, we plan to link it with the websites of members
so that the details of PVAmembers can be automatically updated. For
members without their own website, kindly inform EnMansor Peaid and
Mr Thomas Lim of PVA EXCO so that introductions can be made to
PVAappointed website developer for easy implementation.
6. ATTENDANCE AT PVA ORGANIZED EVENTS INCLUDING DIALOGUES AND
BRIEFINGS
PVA EXCO would like to advise members that for PVA events
attended by Dato Seri MD ofProton, all heads of PVA member
companies (Chairman, CEO, MD, COO, COO, Head ofCountry etc) should
represent their respective company in the same event to reciprocate
theseniority.
PVA members are also advised to reply promptly to the event
organisers and be punctual for therespective event. Members who
have confirmed their attendance should ensure their presencefor the
event.
As monthly vendor briefings are also important for everyone in
the vendor community, Protonwould continue to seek the cooperation
of PVA members to be represented by their respectiveSenior
Management staff. Meanwhile, the presenters from Proton would also
continue to be from
their management level.
