Research Interests:

To understand plant pathogen interactions from host plant perspective in order to develop improved resistant plant varieties to combat biotic stress. Marker-assisted Breeding, Marker development, QTL Mapping, Quantitative Genetics and trait introgression.

Currently working as a Research Scholar (CSIR-SRF) at Directorate of Rice Research (DRR), ICAR institute, Rajendra Nagar, Hyderabad in the area of Molecular Plant Pathology.

PhD Title: Identification and mapping of novel blast resistance gene(s) in introgression lines of rice.
