After leaving GKLS Xerox to begin my family, I opened an online shop selling beauty products and during this time I also bought, renovated and sold a house as a business venture. When my daughter was two I approached GKLS Xerox to ask if I could re-join the company in some capacity and they agreed I could work for them on a freelance basis which I did, while continuing my online business. The work at GKLS began to dwindle as the business started to move direction and I had to find other customers, this resulted in a medium sized company Sandford Electrical, based in slough, asking me to create an electronic filing system for them, back-scanning ten years’ worth of documents into electronic files so they could dispose of a great deal of paper. This project was completed successfully within 6 months. I have done some transcription work for two separate digital production companies as well as Quality Assurance work for a translation agency. EMPLOYMENT: 2012 – 2014 UCB Celltech – Slough, Berks - Position – Patent Administrator

I joined UCB on a temporary basis in January 2012, and was offered permanent employment from February 2013. Working within a team of five Patent Attorneys, my role was to assist with administration including filing, dealing with all post and electronically filing of post booking meetings and travel, approving invoices, printing and general ad-hoc duties. this role involved some travel to the head office in Brussels, Belgium. Unfortunately, due to the office adopting a paperless system my position became redundant.

1997 – 2004 GKLS Xerox – Aquasulis House, Bath Road, Slough, Berks

POSITION: Quality Control DTP Specialist

Working within a team of Desktop Publishers, my role was to check their work for accuracy, clients were major household names and leaders in technology and vehicle manufacture and this job involved liaising with translators and ensuring documents and manuals were accurate prior to printing. This role required a high level of attention to detail a great deal of concentration. I left this company to raise my daughter and once she was 2 years old I went back to work for them on a freelance basis, so had to raise my own invoices and submit my own Tax returns.

1995-1997 Future Electronics – Colnbrook, Berks - Position - Administration Assistant My role within this company was to raise purchase orders for electronic components and as they were procured worldwide a large part of the job was to calculate currency conversions precisely.

1993-1995 Scott’s Hotels, Ditton Road, LangleyPOSITION: Purchase Ledger Assistant

My job for this company was to maintain my own section of the purchase ledger, ensuring that suppliers to 16 hotels were paid in a timely and efficient fashion with all suppliers statements reconciled monthly and queries from both hotels and suppliers dealt with promptly.

1991 – 1995 I spent this time working for several employment agencies as a temporary worker covering mainly long term bookings in a variety of accounts roles which include Credit Control, Sales and Purchase Ledger and Customer Service using several different accounts software including: SAGE ACCOUNTANT and PEGASUS.

1990-1991 Heywoods Construction Ltd, Station Road, Hayes.POSITION: Accounts Assistant.

My responsibility with this company was to transfer manual accounts to SAGE FINANCIAL CONTROLLER software and to train staff in the use of the computer system.

1986-1990 T Glynn Haulage Ltd, Station Road, HayesPOSITION: General Office Assistant.

My many duties with this haulage company included raising invoices and monthly statements, typing all correspondence, assisting the Plant Manager locate and hire machines and materials for building sites, taking telephone orders plus numerous ad hoc duties. This company went into liquidation and two of the managers went on to form Heywoods Construction and I was invited to work there.

1985-1986 Skinners of Windsor Ltd, Windsor, BerksPOSITION: General Assistant.

I joined this company when I left school, having worked there part time whilst still at school. My duties were to ensure that airlines received the magazines and papers that they required for flights on a daily basis.
