    Statement of Purpose

A statue cannot be sculpted with one hand only; it needs both the hands

to give it the desired shape. My career for me is that statue and I am one of thehands and MBA is the other. With an engineering degree in place, I would like to

explore the industry through a management perspective. Some years from now,

I see myself setting up a venture for which I would need a closer understanding

of the industry and its trends. An MBA programme will help me tackle my future

assignments by enhancing my skills to face the challenges of a corporate

environment. My primary aim is to understand the administrative and

managerial systems of the corporate world, to learn and grow with the

opportunities I get and in due course excel in the related field. An MBA

programme would help me understanding people and relations, organizational

structure, marketing scenarios, studying economy through a finance perspective, study of Indian and international markets and other important of the aspects of

    the industry.

"Most successful men have achieved their distinction by having some new

talent or opportunity presented to them.

These words by Bruce Barton explain my outlook for attaining success in a

nutshell. If one were to ask my friends to describe me they would portray me as

a very pleasant, diverse, active and intelligent person. I think one of my most

distinguishing characteristics is the diversity of experiences I possess. I am an

Engineering student with an interest in Management. With a technical educationbackground, I have an industry experience with Marketing and HR

Recruitments. All these elements have given me a very broad outlook, with

varying degrees of knowledge in a range of topics. I strongly believe that these

qualities will influence my post graduation work in some or the other way. My

Engineering degree has given a strong foundation to my analytical skills and also

helped me in dealing with situations which may seem difficult initially. After

completing my graduation, I worked for a Recruitment firm, with strength of 30,

as a Consultant in IT recruitments. My core responsibilities were to understand

and explain the IT recruitments of the clients to my team. At the same time I was

also responsible for handling recruitments in other sectors of the industry. Iachieved success early with this organisation, leading a team of 2 members

when it was just 3 months since I joined and also I received a salary hike 4 times

in a single year. I also have an experience of working in Marketing with a start-up

which was into selling of security systems. I spend my spare time in the

company of underprivileged children, helping them in their studies, celebrating

festivals or special days and trying to get more people interested in donating for

such orphanages. There are certain Cheshire homes in my locality which I visit

quite often. I am an avid sportsperson and play cricket and football.
