Taxi est un film policier comique qui est [entré/ sorti] en 1998. [Le réalisateur / producteur] s’appelle Gérald Pirès. Six modèles ont été utilisés pour filmer sous tous les angles le célèbre Taxi. Le premier était un taxi normal, le second servait à montrer le taxi lorsqu'il se transforme, le troisième permettait de filmer l'intérieur de la voiture, le quatrième était doté d'un volant supplémentaire à droite, ce qui permettait à un pilote professionnel de piloter tandis que Samy Nacéri faisait semblant de conduire, le cinquième était profilé comme une voiture de course très rapide, tandis que le sixième servait de voiture travelling

Notes
1) Useful language used in the film
Bisous – kisses
Je suis désolé Monsieur – I’m sorry, Sir. (Daniel to the passenger after a mad dash to the airport)
Chauffard – a mad driver. The normal word for a driver is chauffeur, automobiliste or conducteur
Pilote is used for racing driver – pilote de course, pilote de Formule 1

alcolos, escrocs idiots – alkies, crooks and idiots (this is how Daniel describes the police to Emilien before he finds out his real job)
2) Idiom: Une vraie crème ‐ a real gem
3) The film refers to a fable by Aesop called the Tortoise and the Hare. In French, the story was rewritten around 1670 by La Fontaine. Children still read versions of ‘Le lièvre et la tortue’.

4) CRS Compagnie Républicaine de Sécurité. The riot police with a reputation for strong tactics against young protestors. This is why Daniel objects to the logo of the CRS on his racing car.
5) French‐German relations There were historical tensions between France and Germany, partly linked to the German occupation of France during the Second World War. Commissaire Gibert’s thinly disguised anti‐German feelings are a source of humour in the film.
6) Police There is an element of gentle mockery of the police in Taxi. In a sense, they are the real enemy. Daniel, as a young rebel (of Arab origin) makes no secret of his hostility towards the police and feels awkward at having to work with them in order to keep his licence.
