SUMMARY How can I be of service?

Born and raised in Barcelona (where I live at present), I was lucky to live in Grenoble,

France (for two years), and in the old quarter of Girona (for about eight years) while (and

after) pursuing my EU-labeled PhD on Computer Engineering (more concretely, on

Computer Graphics). During my dissertation years I worked mostly on Image Synthesis,

simulating light transport in virtual scenes, and I'm still a CGI enthusiast (HQ rendering,

medical illustration, VFX, animation).

At present I'm focused on Imaging Technologies for Medical Research.

My driving forces are passion, focus, and humor. I'm a results oriented professional,

committed to quality work, with 20+ years of computer software experience. I'm also a GTD

(Getting Thinks done) practitioner and advocate (using the Pomodoro technique for laser-

focusing on tasks), a lifehacker, and a learner for life.

research projects, with the help of the entire Team (we are about a dozen professionals).

In addition to learn a big deal on gastroenterology, during my stint I designed and

implemented my first medical software applications. They were built on top of the Insight

Toolkit (ITK, mostly to segment CTs), and the Visualization Toolkit (VTK, to generate

meshes and render data).

During these months I did some jobs for the University of Girona as a freelancer, while

revising the PhD dissertation text and creating the presentation for the defense.

During this stint I participated in the Esprit Open Long Time Research project entitled

"Realistic Simulation of Light for General Environments (SIMULGEN)," carried out by four

partners: iMAGIS-GRAVIR/IMAG-INRIA (France), GGG/IIiA, University of Girona (Spain),

Max Planck Institut Informatik (Germany), and LightWork Design Ltd (United Kingdom).
