BPOS-D Configuration matérielleAs described in SharePoint Online Dedicated Custom Solution Policies and Process_April 2010, following table shows the current hardware configuration for production environment servers.

The above machines would be necessary for heavy load and scale testing; lesser machines or virtual machines (VMs) are generally suitable for all other testing. For integration environments, Microsoft generally recommends virtual machines, which can be constrained as follows:

Windows Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2, or Windows Server 2003 SP2 SQL Server 2005 - on separate hardwareOffice SharePoint Server 2007 SP2 with February 2010 Cumulative Update32-bit,1.5-GB RAM (32-bit VM fine for integration testing, but a pass on 64-bit hardware should also be done)
